Three outcomes that defined the launch
By sourcing and qualifying initiatives throughout the organisation for impact and feasibility
Applying a process-centric approach to problem identification and solution-orientation
Defined roles and skills and helped bridge the gap while building the organisation
The challenge
Leveraging AI for cost efficiency and employee productivity was at the very top of the company's agenda, yet there was no coherent undertaking to reap the proposed benefits. Each team set its own direction while being poorly skilled and under-funded.
Small projects were abundant, efforts were duplicated across teams, and scaling was nearly impossible.
The approach
The newly appointed SVP of Artificial Intelligence asked Responsive to help define the enterprise-wide AI strategy, and to design and establish an AI Centre of Excellence.
Together, we built an organisation, an operating model, secured portfolio management and governance, and defined an AI project playbook.
To launch and secure early success, Responsive consultants and developers helped staff the Centre of Excellence to build foundation and methodology before transitioning into a more internally-led way of working.
The impact
The enterprise-wide AI project portfolio was consolidated through rigorous initiative vetting.
The AI Centre of Excellence developed a single AI-project implementation playbook with a process-centric approach to solution-design.
The organisation built capabilities across technical and project delivery skill sets.
Responsive's business-first approach to working with AI was genuinely eye-opening for us. It was substantially different than other consultants we encountered, and it has informed the way we think about AI in our leadership team and how we approach it as an organisation.
